The blade has an extremely sharp cutting edge. It is made out of Japanese SG2 Micro Carbide powder stainless steel, wich is enveloped by 50 layers with soft and hard stainless steel on each side, resulting 101 layers in total.
The blade is hardened to HRC 63 Rockwell and vil remain sharp for a long time - (Most kitchen knives are HRC 57-58)
The knife has a good balance and a beautiful handle made of black/grey canvas micarta.
The nickel silver rivets and bolsters on the handle, make the knife look perfect
